Obituary for Martha J. Laudenslayer

Martha J. Laudenslayer
Irondequoit: Sunday, July 1, 2018. Predeceased by her father, Charles. Survived by her mother, Marion; brothers, Michael of GA, Joseph (Alyson) of NC; sister, Virginia (John) DiGiovanni; niece and nephews, Ann Marie (Michael) Cohoon, Michael J. DiGiovanni and Nicholas Laudenslayer; uncles, Vincent and Frank Amico; aunt, Dorothy Amico; grandnieces, nephews and cousins. Despite the many challenges she faced in her life, Martha was a happy, independent person who always “did her own thing”. She volunteered at the Westminster Early Childhood Center in Buffalo from 1979 – 2000 and at the Irondequoit Community Center for several years. She was honored by both organizations for her loyalty, conscientiousness and dedication to the tasks assigned her. There was not a person she worked with or met who did not like her. Martha enjoyed watching old TV series, doing word search puzzles, making tea for her mother every day and doing chores around the house. She looked forward to visits from her niece and nephews and their children. In lieu of flowers kindly donate to Wayne County ARC.

Friends are welcome Sunday 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Martha's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:30am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
