Condolence From: Bud Baker
Condolence: I am so sorry for the loss of such a fine man--you have my deepest sympathy. I met Tim in 1963, when we were 14, and freshman classmates at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester. Tim was really extraordinary even then: Popular, smart, and a very talented athlete. But those are not the qualities that have caused me to think of him so many times in the last 50 years. What I recall most was his extraordinary kindnesses to people less gifted than he was. High school is not always an easy time, and for some McQuaid could be a pretty harsh place at times. Yet Tim was always quick to support others, to reach out a hand to those who needed help. I will always think of that, and smile when I think of his generous spirit. Again, my deepest condolences.... Condolence: Some of the warmest memories of my childhood are related to time spent with the Dieter family. Tim, Tom and Sue were truly special friends and although we had lost touch over the years, the memories never fade. Teddy and Bill were always friends: in Girl Scouts, on the boat, having picnics.
