Irondequoit: Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband, James; son, Timothy; sister, Thelma Bethmann. Survived by her children, Anne Mitchell, William (Lynn) Faro, Thomas (Peggy) Faro, Rick (Tracy) Faro, Kevin (Deb) Faro, John (Diane) Faro and James Scahill; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Earl "Jack" Smythe; sister, Joyce (Skip) Meetze; nieces, nephews, and her dog, Ruff. Arlene was a wonderful mother, grandmother and lived for her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome Sunday 2-5pm at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. (just north of E.Ridge Rd.) Arlene's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10am at St. Frances Cabrini Parish at Annunciation Church ( 1754 Norton St.) Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Outreach Center, Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Heart Association.
