As my fifth-grade "homeroom" teacher at Dake Middle School, Mrs. Gauger made a lifelong impression. I'm sorry to hear that she's passed, but happy to hear that she had such a full life beyond our brief overlap.

It saddens me to hear that Aunt Bernice passed away but I am sending my sympathy to her family at this crazy time in the World I always enjoyed when she came to my parents house for Sunday dinner ,she was a very interesting and intelligent woman well beyond her times ,she will be missed greatly.

Thank you Shirley my Mom had a good life and she was 98 so it was her time. She declined quite rapidly but she passed peacefully. We were unable to be with her due to the Corona virus but she was well cared for in a hospice setting. It was difficult not having a proper funeral with family and friends but itnis what it is in this difficult time. Gwen

I meant to say we were not able to be with her at the end.
