Obituary for Catherine Bennett
Fairport: July 23, 2018.(spent most of her life in Rochester, NY and was born May 19, 1928 in Hazleton, PA) Predeceased by her husband John Bennett; siblings, Joseph Zabitchuck and Ann Evans; daughters, Carolyn, Darlene, and Debra. Survived by her daughter Patricia (Dale) Weber; son-in-law, Thomas Hoffman; grandchildren, Joshua, Andrea, Amanda, Jonathan, Candace, Melissa, and Matthew; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Catherine was a devout Catholic, was a hard worker (retired after 30+ years from Bausch & Lomb), loved to travel, enjoyed her volunteer work at Monroe Community Hospital and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Friends are welcome Friday 4-8pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Catherine's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10am at Holy Apostles Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Monroe Community Hospital.
