Obituary for Clara E. Seeger
Irondequoit: Friday, March 1, 2019 at age 101. Predeceased by Willi, her loving husband of 66 years. She is survived by 5 children; Willi A. (Judy) of CA, Ernie (Carol), Anita of TX, Richard (Sandy), and Charles (Linda) of CA; grandchildren, Susan (Jason) Lee, Cheryl (Joe) Diaz, Laurie (Troy) Mack, Sandy (Shannon) Crawford, Matthew (Heather) Seeger, Michelle (Dom) DeLeo, Lynda Seeger, Kim (Kirk) de los Santos, Emily Stickney, Christopher (Emily) Seeger, Kurt Seeger (Eric), Patrick, and Andrew (Kimberly) Seeger; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler Lee, Zack and Katie Diaz, Courtney and Hannah Seeger, Rachael, Miaya and Domenic DeLeo, Taylor and Devyn Mack, Audrey and Bridget Crawford, Bella and Nicholas de los Santos, Erin Batzel, Tyson, Ryder, Molania, Kylib and Pearce Seeger.
In the past, Clara was an active member of the Catholic Kolping Society, the Federation of German American Societies, the Bishop Kearney Alumni Association, St. Gerard’s Mothers Circle, St. Margaret Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society, St. Margaret Mary’s Church choir, the Catholic Women’s Club of Rochester, Bishop Kearney’s Parent Club, and Eastman Kodak Retirees Bowling League. Clara swam “Lengths For Lives” (1978-1983) for the American Cancer Society. Clara loved her family and her friends. She lived a remarkable life and will be greatly missed!
Friends are welcome Friday 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. (Just North of E. Ridge Rd.) Clara’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Cancer Society or the Sunset House.
