Irondequoit: Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Ann's Community after an illness. Dale was born January 25, 1939 in Canandaigua, NY where he grew up with his sister Gloria and his brother John along with their parents Keith and Ruth Fox Armitage. Dale graduated from Nichols College and went on to a 34 year career at Xerox. Dale married Marilyn Dieterle in May 1961 and went on to become a very loving husband and father of five children. Dale is survived by his children, Keith (Maureen), Susan, Clayton, Donna (Kurt) Hannabach and Craig (Holly) as well as ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was well known to spend many loving hours with all the grandkids and if we could get them all together at the same time that was the best. Dale leaves his wife Marilyn after 59 years of marriage. Dale was an excellent tennis player, this was his passion from his childhood at the Howell St. Park and through his career and even after retirement in 2002. He was still watching and commenting on matches on TV in 2019. Dale easily made friends and maintained many lasting friendships throughout his life and we are certain that he would want them to know he has peacefully gone to our Lord's Heaven to rest. The family would like to thank the second floor staff at St. Ann's Home for all their years of care and devotion.
Family and friends may attend his Memorial Mass on Friday, March 6th at 12 noon in the chapel of St. Ann's Home (1500 Portland Ave.) Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
