Irondequoit: Friday, July 20, 2018 suddenly at the age of 57. Predeceased by her father, Bernard Root. Survived by her mother, Doris Root; partner, Paula Amico; son, Andrew Root; sister, Karen (Joe) Boyack Brock; nephew, Patrick Boyack; labrador, Sammy. Diane enjoyed sailing, cooking, and working with computers. She was a member of the Robotics club at Eastridge High School and served on the Transfiguration Lutheran Church council.

Friends are welcome Thursday 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday 1pm at Transfiguration Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.
