Obituary

Irondequoit: Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 93, known as Marge to all who knew her. Born November 18, 1925 in Warrington, England. Predeceased by her husband, Michael L. and son Michael F. Survived by her daughters, Barbara (Tim) Welch, Donna (Tom) Barz and Christine (Ron) Mitchell; grandchildren, Terry, Shannon, Kelley, Steven, and Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Dallas, Alexis, Tyler, Samantha, Nicholas, Anthony and Matthew. Doris was the eldest of 8 children born to Francis and Mabel (Stamp). She married her beloved husband Mike in 1945. She then came to the United States in 1946 as a WWII bride. Marge loved and cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting and dancing with her hubby to big band music on Saturday nights. They frequented Rund’s, Crescent Beach, and The Pittsford Tavern. Marge saw the joy in everyday and was a woman of strong faith. She always had something kind to say about everyone. Her smile and love of life will always be remembered by family and friends. Marge was a member of the YMCA for over 20 years and a Kodak employee for 10 years. Memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice.
