Doug was a welcoming, warmhearted and sincere friend to many. Doug’s hobbies included being a mender of all things broken, an auto enthusiast, WNY history aficionado, U of R Economics Dept alumnus, tool man extraordinaire, master groundskeeper, logistics professional, lifetime learner, beaming retiree and chief architect, engineer and laborer of countless volunteer and household projects. Many of those projects were at the homes of friends and family. Doug’s proudest accomplishments and most lasting legacy will be the unyielding devotion to his loving wife, the deep pride in his doting children and his unconditional love and patience for his adoring grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff and doctors of the 5500 and 6800 units at RGH.
