East Rochester: Monday, May 13, 2013. Predeceased by his wife Jean Kraftschik and his dear friend Gertrude August. Survived by his son, Wayne Mayer; daughter, Diane (Guy Prentice) Beyea; grandchildren, Travis (Shannon), Ryan, Kyle, Andrew, and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Callie, Autumn, and Travis Ellison. Mr. Mayer was a Air Force Bomber Pilot in WWII, a 40 year retiree of Gleason Works, a musician his entire life, student at Eastman School of Music, member of Irondequoit Concert Band, a 32nd degree Mason.

Friends are welcome to call SUNDAY 2-6PM at the DREIER-GILTNER FUNERAL HOME INC. 1717 Portland Ave. (corner of Portland and East Ridge Rd.) His Graveside Service with Military Honors will be TUESDAY 1pm at White Haven Memorial Park.
