Obituary for Elsie K. Rehberg

Irondequoit: Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband George G. Rehberg III; son-in-law, Gary Adler; brothers, Jacob and Richard Keymel; sisters, Josephine VanLoon, Janet Langlois. Survived by her beloved family; children, Mary (David) Williams, Gretchen Rehberg, George (Paula Hollinger) Rehberg IV, Sigrid Adler, Geoffery Rehberg, Garth (Gina) Rehberg; eleven grandchildren, Bailea, Lavinia, George V, Jesse, Rachel, Gene, Rudy, Garth, Seth, Kyle, and Elsie, and their respective spouses; eight darling great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Spernak; sister-in-law, Claire Keymel; many nieces and nephews; and dearest friend, Liliane Wilk.
Elsie began her career in education upon graduation from Brockport Teachers College in 1942. She shared her gifts as a teacher and guidance counselor for 40 years, retiring from the East Irondequoit School District. Her lifetime of compassion has left a legacy of healed hearts for a great many.



Friends are welcome to call Wednesday 4-7pm at the DREIER-GILTNER FUNERAL HOME INC. 1717 Portland Ave. (corner of Portland and East Ridge Rd.) Her Funeral Service will be Thursday 11am at the Brighton Reformed Church (805 Blossom Rd.) Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice or to the church.
