Obituary for Evelyn A. Miller

Evelyn A. Miller Rochester - November 5, 2019. Evelyn leaves her son Tom (Jean) Miller, daughter Mary Ann Miller, grand children David (Dianne Barry) Miller, Jeanine (Michael) Adams, great grandchildren Colin and Derek Miller, Francis, Hillarie, and Heidie Adams, many friends from St Ambrose Church and the Cherry Ridge Community. She is predeceased by her husband William J. Miller, parents Martin and Carolyn Weber, sisters Lucille (Ed) Rudy & Helen (Ray) Vorndran, brothers Richard (Audrey) Weber & Joseph (Lillian) Weber. Nieces and nephews Eileen (Charlie) Betz , Kenneth (Peg) Vorndran, Beth (Michael) Desjardin, Carol (Lew) Childs, Christine Yost, Gary (Nancy) Weber, Dale Weber, Nancy Weber, Susie Miller, Charles Miller, Dorothy Weber, Susan Weber, Judy Weber, Blake Ingrahm.

Evelyn, a lifelong resident of Rochester was born on January 27, 1918, attended Holy Redeemer Elementary School and Nazareth Academy. Evelyn had a zest for life and strived to live it with purpose and joy. She was a longtime volunteer at Rochester General Hospital and served the ministry at St. Ann’s Community. As a longtime member of St Ambrose parish, she and her husband were supportive to and involved in so many parish activities. Likewise she was active in the good works of Heritage Christian Services and the ARC of Monroe County. She served in many volunteer roles throughout her community. Her greatest commitment and joy in life was her caring for children with special needs. Evelyn, as well as being a wonderful mom and homemaker, worked for several years and enjoyed lifelong learning at 99 years old, attending a religious studies class at St. John Fisher College. She so enjoyed every opportunity to learn, teach, share generously and graciously in her community and with her family and friends.

Join us for a Mass of Christian Burial at the Cherry Ridge Community, 900 Cherry Ridge Blvd, Webster New York, Saturday November 9,2019 at 10:00 AM at Cherry Ridge Community Chapel, Webster New York, followed by Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
