Rochester N.Y. Gary passed away April 4th, 2022 at the age of 74. Gary is pre-deceased by parents Mildred and Harold, son Todd and sister Barbara (Chase). Gary is survived by wife, Susan Schwab (Waugh), daughter Amy (Jerum) & grandchildren, William, Harrison and Coleman Jerum; siblings, Robert (Nancy), Donald (Carole), James (Dee) and David (Marianna), step sons Jeff, John (Nolin) and several nieces, nephews and friends.

A graduate of Charlotte High School, he enjoyed many activities including Baseball, Wrestling, Music and Theater. Gary seemed always to be working. He developed a consistent work ethic and a love of meeting and serving people. From many enjoyable hours making pizzas at the local shop, to working with relatives in the carpet business, Gary gained the respect of all those he met. As Chief Clinical Technician of Dialysis at The Strong hospital for over 30 years, Gary diligently served those in need. He ended his work career in the sales department at Ralph Honda, where he came to love the family atmosphere and opportunity to meet so many people.

Gary loved playing pool, fishing, hunting, golf, woodworking and all outdoor activities. This gentle man will be missed.

Family and friends are welcome Thursday, April 28th from 6-8pm with a prayer service to follow at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave.
