Credit Union Leader
Joe was a friend as well as a great leader in the credit union industry from his time at GRS and at Penfield FCU (now Family First), to the New Your State Credit Union League serving as a member of board of the statewide trade association. Joe fought for the progress of all credit unions large and small, and represented us with legislators, regulators and in local credit union learning sessions. Every time a credit union is mentioned, recognized, and honored, a small piece of that goes to Joe, who was a leader throughout the most important years of credit union development. Beyond that he was a friend to all of us who grew up in this industry, and it was always great to spend time with he and Lillian at the conferences, meetings, dinners, and gatherings. Whether at a serious meeting or having a laugh, or a casual conversation, Joe always made it better. He will always be remembered with honor within New York's credit union community and as a friend he will be missed.
