Obituary for Marleny Escobar
Rochester: Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents, Elias and Deborah Lopez; husband, Guillermo Escobar; brother, Carlos Alberto Lopez; sister, Maria Carolina Lopez. Survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Escobar; granddaughters, Briana Dickson and Lilliana Buttaro; sister, Martha (Guillermo Valencia) Lucia Lopez; nieces and nephews, Claudia Roman, Mercedes Betancur, Juan Pablo Betancur, Paula Valencia, Juan Guillermo Valencia, Juan Sebastian Lopez and Natalia Lopez.
Marleny was a devout catholic who had a heart for charity and helping others in need. She was a lover of all people and always displayed class wherever she went. She enjoyed traveling with her family and eating Colombian food. She came to the United States and exceeded the American dream. She loved her family and country very much.
Friends are welcome Tuesday, February 21st from 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Marleny's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 22nd at 9:30am at St. Michaels Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care.
