Brighton: October 18, 2014 following a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary and her three sisters, Joanne O'Brien, Doris Connelly, and Mary Evelyn Reed. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nephews, and the Sisters of Mercy. Sister M. Edward was an excellent science teacher who, for over thirty years, taught numerous young women at Mercy H.S. A compassionate woman, she spent many years caring for members of her family who were ill.

Friends are welcome to call Tuesday 4-7pm at the MERCY CENTER 1437 Blossom Rd. where a Vigil Service will be held at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30am at the Mercy Center. Interment Hply Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Sisters of Mercy.
