Obituary for Melissa Denise Colon
Melissa Denise Colon, age 46, gained her angel wings on November 4, 2020. She was born February 12, 1974 in Rochester, NY. Pre-deceased by her father Wilfredo Colon Sr. and her brother Wilfredo Colon Jr. Survived by her mother Maria Colon, her daughter Genyssa Torres, her sister Belinda Colon, her brother Wilfredo Colon III (Dawn Colon), her grandmother America Antonetti. As well as her nieces and nephews, Efrain Figueroa Jr, Yazmine Figueroa, Merahya Colon, Sergio Colon, and Mila Colon.
Melissa was a devoted and loving daughter, mother, sister and friend. She had an infectious smile that would light up a room and will be remembered for her selfless, caring, and outgoing personality.
Family & friends are invited to Melissa’s Farewell ceremony on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 11am–12pm at Faith Church, 1876 Elmwood Avenue. Following the ceremony, we will be taking Melissa to her resting place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
