Irondequoit: Suddenly on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anne Murphy; his sister, Iris (Jim) McGraff. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Wendy Murphy; his daughter, Michelle Murphy; brothers, Mark, Joseph and Charlie Murphy; sister, Nina (Jed) Orloff; mother-in-law, Peggy Harrison; sister-in-law, Betsy (Ross) Koenig; brother-in-law, Russell Harrison; nieces, Beverly and Elizabeth Orloff; nephews, Patrick (Kelly) and Ethan Koenig. Michael was an Army Vietnam Veteran (Special Forces). He worked at Kodak for a few years before becoming a self-employed financial analyst. He was an avid runner and tennis player who enjoyed cooking.

Family and friends are welcome Tuesday, January 26th from 4-7pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Ave. (just north of East Ridge Rd.). A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to USO.org (United Service Organization).
