Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully surrounded by daughters on Saturday, April 6, 2019 just shy of her 90th birthday. Predeceased by her father, John V. Norton and mother, Catherine McGreal Norton; husbands, John F. Lamphron (1982), John P. Smith (1996) and loving companion, Peter Gammiero (2011). Survived by 4 daughters, Catherine Lundberg, Susan Lawson (Stephen dec. Nov. 2013), Michele (Kevin) Welc and Margaret-Mary (Meg) Crisafulli (John dec. March 2014); grandchildren, Jeffery, Megan, Matthew, Seth (Jessica) and Caitlin (Zack) Farley; great-grandchildren; nephews, cousins; also survived by life-long childhood friends, Helen Elam and Nancy McDermott. Mom was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Mercy H.S. Class of 1947 and becoming a Registered Nurse, graduating class of 1950, St. Mary’s School of Nursing.
Family and friends are welcome Tuesday 4-7PM at the John M. Hedges Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
