Obituary for Russell T. "Russ" Calcagno
Russ passed away on March 20th, 2022 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his brother, Joe and grandson, Blake Cognata. Russ is survived by his wife, Marie (Mancuso); children, Russell (Kathy) Calcagno III, Mark (Andrea Thrasher) Calcagno, Diane (Tom) Calcagno-Jackson, Michelle Stone and step daughter Samantha Mack. He also leaves behind his brothers, Benny Calcagno and Walt (Mary Jo) Aldrich; sisters, Connie Schils, Marge (Tom) Roesler and Mary Jane (John) Pawlukiewicz; 7 grandchildren, a great-grandson and countless friends.
Russ was the owner of Alco Paving for many years and loved his career. He was an avid golfer who loved to teach others the game and had many accolades, such as 3 hole-in-ones, and golfing “his age” in his 60s, 70s and 80s. His smile and sense of humor will be missed by so many.
Russ' Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jerome’s Church, 207 Garfield St. East Rochester on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 10am. Interment White Haven Memorial Park immediately following.
