Brighton: Sister Mary Beth Teddy, RSM (Sister Mary Nicholas) was called home by God on Monday, November 26, 2018, during her 64th year as a Sister of Mercy. She entered the Sisters of Mercy from St. Monica’s Parish. Sister Mary Beth received a BS in Science from Nazareth College and a BS in Nursing from Alfred University. She taught at several Diocesan Elementary Schools, as well as, Cardinal Mooney and Our Lady of Mercy High Schools. She was an RN at St. James Mercy Hospital, Hornell; an Instructor for the American Red Cross and SUNY Brockport; Case Manager for We Care Home Health Services; and Director of Training for Tender Loving Care. Survivors include her nieces, nephews, and the Sisters of Mercy.
Friends are welcome Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at Mercy Center, 1437 Blossom Road, where her vigil service will be held at 7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at Mercy Center. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sisters of Mercy.
