Irondequoit: Monday, July 27, 2015 at the age of 67 after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. Susan was born on October 16, 1947 in Rochester, NY and settled in irondequoit to raise her family. She worked at West Irondequoit School District until retiring in 2015. The Materials Management Center at Dake Jr. High is named after Susan. Susan is predeceased by her husband Charles Sherwood and her parents, Charles and Betty Park. Survived by her three sons and their wives, Michael (Jacqueline), Mark (Beth), and Matthew (Michelle), her six grandchildren, Alyson, Alexander, Jordyn, Natalee, Brendan and Ava, her sister, Bonnie Hahn, brother, Chip Park. Susan enjoyed gardening, card nights with longtime friends, Saturday dinners with Bonnie and the ladies and spending time with her family. A special thanks to the staff at the Highlands at Brighton and Visiting Nurse Service for their help and support.
Friends are welcome to call Thursday 6-8pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. A Memorial Service will be held Friday 11am at White Haven Memorial Park All Season's Chapel. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
