Obituary for Verenda Meshell Napier
Hilton: She was born in Washington, DC and passed away suddenly in her home on May 3, 2019 at the age of 36. Verenda was a proud US Marine and senior examiner for Monroe County DHS. She was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was beloved by all and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, Jayden Napier; her mother, Luegene McManus; her father, Albert Ferguson and 3 brothers; aunts, Marguerite (Roger) Lewis, Jacqueline Miles; also survived by her large 2nd family in Hilton; Joseph and Susan Fertitta and their children, Adam (Tina) Lievense, Matthew Lievense, Christina (David) Baker, Priscilla (Mike) Pantaleo, Jaime Fertitta, Joey (Corinne) Fertitta, and Jessica (Dan) Diabo.
Family and friends may celebrate Verenda's Homecoming on Saturday from 11am-1pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. A Military Funeral Honor will follow at Parma Union Cemetery.
