Irondequoit: Passed away on February 17, 2014 at the age of 82 from complications due to pneumonia. Don was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Gould Willer, and his two sons, Thomas William and Steven Michael. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Willer (Steven Webster) and Donna (John) Wenzel; and his beloved grandson, Eli Wenzel. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill (Janice) and Jim (Paula), as well as his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Don worked at Eastman Kodak Company for 37 years, was a National Guardsman for 32 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1982. He was a life-long member of the Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Irondequoit , as well as the YMCA and Scout Master Boy Scout Troop 183. Don will be remembered for his gentle nature, his wonderful sense of humor, and his love for his family, friends, community, and country.
A Memorial Service will be held on SATURDAY 11am at TRANSFIGURATION LUTHERAN CHURCH 3760 Culver Rd. 14622 with a gathering to follow. Memorials may be made to the church.
