Sharing a story: Pulled up in the driveway of 93 Vollmer Parkway in Henrietta as Fred and I were heading out for a trip to Lake George. It was my 1956 Plymouth being held together by the few rust spots that hadn't disintegrated and of course two big holes where the headlights were supposed to be. There she stood in the doorway with crossed arms and a stern look on her face. She let us know in no uncertain terms Fred and I were not leaving that driveway without headlights. I insisted the headlights were in the trunk and we would install them later, “NO” was her response. “You will do it now!” She meant business and there was no way Fred or I was going to mess with her. Fred and I found some tools and enough metal to attach the lights and somehow they actually worked.
