Rochester: Saturday, November 10, 2012. Beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt. Born in Rochester to Frederick and Mary(Lawton) Schauer, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Lewis and her sister, Shirley Foley. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Patricia(Terry) Browne, Thomas(Cheryl) Lewis, Mark(Stacey) Lewis, Sarah(Tony) Costanza; her grandchildren, Evan(Victoria) Browne, Marissa, Kevin, and Liam Lewis, Ryan, Keith, and A.J. Costanza; also her step children, Susan and Paul Lewis; nieces, nephews, and their families. Eleanor lived her entire life in Rochester and worked at Haloid(Xerox) where she met her husband Bill. They married and raised their four children in Irondequoit. She later returned to work as a legal secretary. Eleanor had many dear lifelong friends and her sweet and generous spirit was recognized by everyone who met her. Many thanks to Vi and the staff at Kirkhaven for their gentle care.

No prior calling. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30am at Peace of Christ at St. Ambrose Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to the Irondequoit Food Cupboard or the St. Andrews Food Cupboard.
