As Uncle Fred's nieces we have great memories of his visits to our home in Rochester and as adults his visits to our homes in California.  It was so  heart warming to listen to our Dad and Uncle sharing stories of their youth and the rascals they could be.  When we were little girls we would giggle, with excitment, when Uncle would visit us in his uniform and look so tall and handsome.  Of course, he would tease us and we loved it. 

As adults in California, we enjoyed his many visits and shared stories over dinner.  He would tell us about Rochester and all its changes. Our Dad and Uncle always made it a very interesting evening. We have missed his visits for some time now and his soft voice and warm manner. Now we won't see him again and leaves us with heavy hearts.
