Brighton: Suddenly Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Predeceased by his parents Malfred and Toni Sweet; granddaughter, Jessica Piurkoski. Survived by his children, Mary Ellen (Dave Hubbard) Sweet, Tanya (Jeff) Knope, and Michael (Teresa) Sweet; mother of his children, Maria Sweet; grandchildren, Blake Harms, Tyler Ray, Kiera Prizel, Zachary Knope, Emily Knope, Maci Prizel, Megan Knope, and Trevor Sweet; brother, Thomas (Marie) Sweet; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many life-long friends. Gary was a US Air Force Veteran, loving father and grandfather, enjoyed spending time with his family, loved to travel, was a Postman with the US Postal Service, and a hard working, proud owner of the Avenue Pub for 40years.



Friends are welcome to call Sunday 2-5pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home Inc. 1717 Portland Ave. (just north of East Ridge Rd.) Gary's Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday 11:30am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church.
