Irondequoit:Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the age of 55 surrounded by his loved ones at his side.Predeceased by his parents Cecilia and George Funk Jr.Survived by his best friend and wife, Laurie Funk;step-daughter, Christy Shaffer of MD;brother, Stephen Funk;nephews, Stephen and Jacob.George was a Licensed NYS Funeral Director and former owner of the George Funk Funeral Home.He fought a long battle with Huntington's disease.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10:30am at Blessed Kateri at St.Cecilia Church.Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
