John C. Porter
Irondequoit: October 10, 2017 at the age of 67. Predeceased by his father, Ralph. Survived by his mother, Eleanor Porter; his wife, Irene; sons, David (Lauren Bowis) and Charles; sister, Susanna; brothers, Ethan (Andrea), Jay (Martha); brother-in-law, John Kilciauskas; uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighborhood family and friends. John will be remembered as a bird watcher, a star gazer, Yankees fan, Bruise Brother's hockey player, music enthusiast, good friend and advocate of peace. Very special hug and thanks to Irene's Highland Hospital friends for their care, love and support to John and his family.

Friends are welcome Saturday, October 21st from 1-4pm at the Dreier-Giltner Funeral Home 1717 Portland Ave. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Sunset House 3746 St. Paul Blvd. Rochester, NY 14617 in John's memory.
