Obituary for Kenneth E. McLean

Webster: June 11, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Keith and Hilda McLean; his first wife, Janet. Survived by his beloved wife of eighteen years, Jackie; children, Jill Power, Sue (Danny) LaPrade, Beth (Mark) Bonaquest, and Peter (Kristin) McLean; step-children, Mimi (Doug) Buerkle, Susan (Mike) Parenti, Frank (Nancy Hart) Imburgia; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; ten step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. Ken was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was a contractor in Massena, NY for much of his life and retired at the young age of 80. Ken loved to garden, as well as rebuilding and remodeling his homes. He and Jackie enjoyed their time spent in Webster for six months and the other six months in Englewood, FL. Ken was a very active member of the Italian American Club in Venice, FL, where he and other volunteers rebuilt the town's gondola, which had fallen into disrepair over the years. This year the gondola was proudly returned to its place of honor at the head of the Venice Christmas Parade. Jackie wishes to thank the entire staff of Hildebrandt Hospice for the gentle and loving care he received.

Friends are welcome to call Friday, June 27, from 6-8pm at the DREIER-GILTNER FUNERAL HOME INC. 1717 Portland Ave. (corner of Portland and East Ridge Rd.)
