Irondequoit: Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 103. Predeceased by her husband, Louis Whalen; son, Terence Whalen; 5 siblings. Survived by her children, Judith (Micheal), Michael (Dianne) Whalen, Susan Whalen; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Mangan; sister-in-law, Dorothy Howe; numerous nieces and nephews. Marie graduated from The Academy of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. She belonged to their alumnae associations as well as being a member of The Catholic Women's Club.

Friends are welcome to call TUESDAY 4-8pm at the JOHN M. HEDGES FUNERAL HOME 1717 Portland Ave. (corner of Portland and East Ridge Rd.) Marie's Funeral Mass will be celebrated WEDNESDAY 11am at St. Kateri at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
