Brighton: Died suddenly on October 8, 2012. Sr. Rita ministered as a teacher in schools in and around the city of Rochester and as a principal at St. Patrick's school in Owego. Once she retired from Holy Cross School as teacher, she continued to serve there as a parish visitor, a ministry she trly loved. She is survived by her cousins, JoAnne Leahy, Marilyn(Michael)Spang, James(Zoe)Morris, William Morris; many friends and her sisters in community.
Friends are welcome to call Wednesday 3-7pm at the Mercy Center (1437 Blossom Rd) where a vigil service will be at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 am at the Mercy Center. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the Sisters of Mercy.
